April 13, 2009 -- SAIS Professor Gordon Bodnar runs colloquium for MA students concentrating in International Economics.

April 4-11, 2009 -- Second HNC Sichuan Service Learning Trip. 20 HNC student volunteers again took part in teaching and after-class activities at the Dongqi Middle School, Deyang County, Sichuan in the Earthquake Zone.

March 27, 2009 -- HNC student study tour to Fengyang County, Anhui.

March 18, 2009 - Nobel Laureate Economist, Prof. Joseph Stiglitz, met with MA students concentrating in International Economics and their faculty advisers.

March 13, 2009 -- HNC Career Day in Shanghai – “Success in Difficult Times” - Featured:  Ambassador Burt Levin, speakers including Ken Jarrett (Apco), Dr. William Li (Accenture), Andre Dallaire (Chubb), Belinda Rabano (WPP)

Professor Meredith Oyen wins Georgetown University's 2009 Glassman Award in the
Humanities for the best Ph.D. dissertation (from 2008) in humanities.

Professor Adam Webb publishes new book, “A Path of Our Own”.
