Students accompanied by families/spouse Students whose spouses and/or children accompany them to Nanjing are usually required to live off campus. Students who do live in the dormitory with spouses or children are assessed fees in addition to the standard room fee to cover the cost to the Center of accompanying family members’ residence. Students with family members who are interested in residing in the dormitory should be in touch with the Center’s American administrators in Nanjing as early as possible to determine room availability and costs. Students with accompanying family members who reside off campus do not pay room fees to the program, but will be responsible for finding their own housing in Nanjing. Neither the Hopkins-Nanjing Center nor the Hopkins-Nanjing Center Washington Office will be responsible for finding housing for married students and/or students with children. Married applicants, and especially applicants with children, should contact the Hopkins-Nanjing Center Washington Office to discuss issues that families may encounter while living in Nanjing.
